I have to start choosing subjects at school and i not sure what i want to be?

i am good at maths and science, but i don't want a boring job in business or medicine. i love animal (i know it sounds lame) and would love to work in a safari park or help animals in danger. my mum says i should do zoology or veterinary i like the sound of zoology as veterinary is very hard to get into university. Is zoology a good subject to choose as a career path?
